Feldenkrais - Awareness Through Movement®

Moshe Feldenkrais defined 'good posture' as the ability to move in any direction without hesitation or preparation. These classes examine practical ways to incorporate effortless movement into daily life to prevent tension and injuries. Targeted movement practice improves your coordination, posture, and balance while offering relief from discomfort and stress. Importantly, these sessions help us learn how to learn, setting us up for future success.

With 26 bones, 33 joints and more than a hundred muscles, tendons, and ligaments in each foot, our feet build the foundation for the rest of our body. If you can’t trust the support of your feet and ankles, your neck and shoulders won’t be free of tension, anxiety may be difficult to keep in check and your balance will remain unreliable, setting you up for falls and injury.

In this workshop, you'll:

• uncover the latest secrets to effortless standing, walking, running and dancing
• discover how poorly organized feet contribute to pain and discomfort in the hips, knees, lower back, and neck
• explore strategies to counter pain and stiffness
• increase your flexibility
• improve your balance
• learn to trust your feet
